Recently we revisited our lovely caravan in Filey which gave me the time to play around with my camera again.
It’s been quite a while and I am very rusty, to say the least. Playing around with it made me realise that I need to go back to the beginning and start again.
Having made the plan I have negotiated a “me day” which will be every Monday to dedicate to using my camera and starting from lesson one of the course I purchased a while a go. It’s called the DSLR Photography Course and with it you get lifetime membership with access to a secret Facebook group for students. The support is ongoing and as there is no qualification at the end of the course what you gain instead is access to a group of like minded people to bounce off and gain and share knowledge as well as free critiques of your photographs.
In one word it’s “brilliant”, once you’ve it paid for it you can access all the lessons and assignments as downloads. Here is my folder with all the lessons and assignments in it ready for me to go..
You also get downloads of 4 books; Understanding ISO, Aperture Explained, Mastering Shutter Speed and Going Manual.
PLUS, I have the Canon EOS 550D for Dummies book for reference too..
So, that’s me all signed up and ready to go ~ all I have to do now is put on my student head and from this Monday coming I shall be dedicating the day to understand and learning how to master the camera.
Also, as an extra incentive, my lovely husband knowing how I love macro and am frustrated by not having a macro lens is buying me one for Christmas!
From Monday next week I shall write a weekly blog sharing my assignments with you and hoping that as I progress I will be able to look back and see how my images improve.
Until then, here are a few of my favourite photos from Filey…
That’s all from me for now ~ see you next week after lesson one.
